Originally two separate schools, Manor has operated as one school since 1983. In 2013, we chose to convert to Academy status, in conjunction with four other local schools, forming an 'umbrella' group called OPEN.

Visitors to the school should report to the office at the main entrance to the newer building.

Main Entrance and Juniors 

This well established community school occupies two sites, one on each side of Lydall's Close, Didcot. The older building dates from the late 19th Century but has been extended substantially. This building is used for infant children aged 4-7 years - the Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 of the National Curriculum.

Infants Building​​

The newer building on the opposite side of the Close houses twelve classrooms, our computer suite, library, the general office and a large assembly hall equipped for PE. This building is used for junior children aged 7 to 11 years - Key Stage 2 of the National Curriculum.​

Timetable

The school day begins at 08:50. Playtime is from 10:30 until 10.45 (10.45 until 11.00 for the upper juniors) and Lunch from 12:00 to 12:50, 13:00 for the infants. Assemblies take place at 1pm, after lunch. The school day finishes at 15.00 for the infants, 15:05 for the Juniors.

Directions

Lydalls Close, Didcot, Oxfordshire, OX11 7LB

As a split site, we have a number of children crossing Lydalls Close at the beginning and end of the school day, as well as pushchairs and wheelchairs using the pavements. Please take care if you need to park near school, and be courteous to our neighbours in Lydalls Close and do not block their driveways. You can park your car at Didcot Civic Hall and walk through Smallbone​ Park to reach Lydalls Close in a few minutes.​ 

Our school is a short walk from Didcot Parkway Railway Station. If driving, please note that there is no through access from Lydalls Road into Lydalls Close so plan your route via Foxhall Road.
